I found this designer dress in an op shop on Monday and couldn’t wait to show you!
It’s from Australian designer Bless’ed are the Meek and you could expect to pay around $200 for one of their creations online. Vogue Japan editor-at-large, Anna Dello Russo, has been photographed recently in Carven creations which have the similar Roman-esque panels of material.
It feels fabulous on and I love the ruching, the skirt detail, and the gorgeous pattern and colours. Here’s a close-up.
The last time I wore a dress was on Friday and this guy in a car drove up and told me I looked “really nice”. My response: “Thanks, my husband thinks so.” I happened to be walking up my driveway with my two boys in tow and he had the cheek to ask if my husband was home. I told him yes, of course and he said “tell him I said congratulations”, then drove off. What a sleazebag! I felt quite unnerved, given he knows where I live. But I refused to let worry or fear overtake me, I just asked God to protect us and never let that guy come near us again!
Back to the dress . . . I highlighted the teal with assorted bracelets and beads, and went for these Nine West heels to accentuate the fuchsia.
I’d love a nanna nap right now, given both boys saturated their beds at various times in the night and I’ve had stuff-all sleep. To make matters worse, I got up to a mountain of washing, including doonahs. Aaarrrrgghhhh! Feeling very grumpy but have my little man at home and will choose to be joyful!
