Green Colour of the Year

This vibrant emerald green is firmly in the fashion spotlight.

But you’d already know that if you’ve been following my blog. Around the time I picked up these fabulous embellished heels, Pantone, the world-renowned authority on colour, declared emerald green the 2013 Colour of the Year. What that basically means is you will soon see it filtering into the stores in clothes, jewellery, shoes and handbags.

I found these gorgeous numbers at an op shop, brand new and never worn. They had my name all over them!

Unfortunately, the weather has turned chilly just in time for the Formula 1 Grand Prix this weekend, but luckily I had a matching emerald green Supre knit on hand. I paired it with my Sass & Bide faux-leather jeans, which have groovy zips on the thighs and at the back of the ankles.

Pulled the outfit together then threw on this silver neckpiece to add a bit more va-va-voom.

Had a beautiful time at church this morning and now I’m happily ensconced on the couch while hubby and the boys are at a friend’s birthday party. It’s a footy match for dads versus sons . . . you’ve gotta love that! Might be time for a cup of tea and the Meryl Streep movie The Devil Wears Prada. Perfect! And now you’re Looking Good Girls!
